Good Morning Dope Woman of God!
I am just finishing up my devotional for the morning and these words jumped out to me so many times that I wanted to share it with you!
DO NOT BE ANXIOUS!! In Matthew 6, as I continued to read, I see that commandment over and over again! It says don't worry about food, clothing, shelter, drink, it actually starts off by saying, "do not be anxious about your life! Why would Jesus tell us that if He didn't have all the answers and solutions. When I start to worry, I often tell myself, I may not have the answer, but I know the one who does. That forces me to take my attention off of myself and put the focus on Him in worship, thanksgiving, prayer, and praise!
Matthew 6:33 goes on to say, "But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things will be added to you." BOOM! There's the answer we've been searching for. We just have to do our part and seek Him first! We serve a God that never fails. He keeps His word to perform it, and even when things dont turn out good. He causes them to work together for our good!
We serve an awesome God! I could keep going but I wont because I'm getting excited and I could chat all day.
